Build Real Applications That Matter

Most developers learn syntax but struggle when building actual projects. We focus on practical full-stack development through real-world applications you'll actually use. Starting September 2025, join a program that teaches you how things work together, not just how they work separately.

Real Projects First

Start building from week one. Every concept gets applied immediately in projects you'd actually want to show someone.

Both Sides Connected

Learn how front-end and back-end work together. Database changes, API calls, user interface updates—all in context.

Portfolio While Learning

Every project adds to your portfolio. Finish with 6-8 completed applications that demonstrate actual capability.

How the Program Works

Six months of focused learning that builds on itself. Each phase prepares you for the next.

1

Foundation Phase (8 weeks)

HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals applied in small working projects. Learn responsive design and basic interactivity while building real interfaces.

2

Backend Integration (8 weeks)

Node.js, Express, and database connections. Build APIs and connect them to front-ends. Understand data flow and state management.

3

Full-Stack Projects (8 weeks)

Combine everything into complete applications. Authentication, data persistence, deployment. Work on projects that solve actual problems.

Learning That Sticks

Theory alone doesn't prepare you for development work. You need to understand how pieces fit together and why certain approaches work better than others.

Our approach focuses on context. When you learn about databases, you're building an actual feature that needs data persistence. When you study APIs, you're connecting a real interface to a real backend.

  • Work on projects with actual requirements and constraints
  • Debug real issues that come up during development
  • Make decisions about architecture and implementation
  • Understand trade-offs between different technical approaches

What You Actually Build

Each project in the curriculum serves a purpose. You'll create applications like task management systems, data dashboards, authentication flows, and API integrations.

By the end, you'll have experience with React or Vue, Express servers, MongoDB or PostgreSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and deployment processes. But more importantly, you'll know how to troubleshoot when things break and how to structure code that other developers can work with.

  • E-commerce checkout system with payment integration
  • Real-time chat application with WebSocket connections
  • Content management dashboard with role-based access
  • API service with documentation and testing

Portrait of Callum Pemberton

I'd done online tutorials before but always got stuck when trying to build something on my own. This program filled in all those gaps. The projects forced me to actually understand what I was doing instead of just copying code. Three months after finishing, I'm working on a development team in Brisbane.

Next Intake Starts September 2025

Limited spots available for the autumn program. If you're ready to move beyond tutorials and build real applications, let's talk about whether this is the right fit for you.
